Love Lolita Fashion?

Now this would be a nice event to go to. Learn all about the secrets behind lolita fashion from one who’s at the very forefront of lolita in Singapore.  Yup – Ms Elizabeth Seah, the great Lady Boss of Haru, will be coming down to NTU LT27, to present a talk on the finer details of lolita.

Members get to go in for free, and the 7 bucks paid would grant you membership to both JAC and VAS, so why not?

Hope to see you there!

PS: Lolita is a lifestyle, not a fashion statement!

No need to. If you are already a member of JAC, just show us your membership card on Wednesday and you should be able to go right in.

Well, that you would have to ask JAC. I don’t know if they have a membership card or not. lol.

Or you can just drop by our booth and get our card instead. Join us! XD

Can I ask something? Can anyone here help to video tape the whole session? Well, it is for some members who can’t make it and attend due to some more important things to do.

Just an added note. If someone can tape the thing, putting it up here may allow others to have a better understanding of the activities conducted by Animeworks and JAC.

PS: Also, we’ll get someone to film the event. Cheers~ ^^

As someone who has been into Lolita fashion for the last 7 years, I’m extremely surprised at the choice of Haru as a representative of the fashion (let alone “at the forefront”) – their aesthetic comes off more as a poor cousin.

Do google real Japanese Lolita shops such as the following for a feel of the Lolita aesthetic, Lolita clothes should be of high-quality materials with well made lace.

Baby the stars shine bright / Alice and the Pirates
    Angelic Pretty
    Moi Meme Moitie
    Victorian Maiden
    Mary Magdalene
    Atelier Pierrot
    Innocent World

Bodyline is somewhat like the “This Fashion” of the Lolita world, their things are generally averagely made (sometimes very poor) , cheap, and occasionally have some cute stuff, but has some spectacular moments of italoli and absolute fail. They are also infamous for making poor quality knock-offs (copies) of real japanese brands such as Innocent World and Angelic Pretty.

There are other china-made brands that produce nicer stuff than Bodyline such as Infanta, Rose Melody etc.

Hmm…I’ve been walking around Singapore for a while, but I don’t remember seeing any of those shops you mentioned. Are they actually Singapore shops?

And yes, I’m too lazy to google them. lol
