AGM’s Tomorrow!

Our Annual General Meeting will be held tomorrow! To see what we’ve up to for the past one year and cast your vote for the upcoming main committee  members, just come down to LT20 at 7 pm. Hope to see you there!


New VAS Affiliate: Genesis Frontier

The NTU Visual Arts Society is proud to announce a new affiliate for our club: Genesis Frontier. Genesis Frontier is a new company that is the official distributor of Cospa Anime merchandise and Bushiroad trading cards as well as the parent company of famous local Anime goods store Kareshi Kanojyo no Mise, the convergence point for local Weib Schwarz trading cards enthusiasts The Card Geeks, Sanrio character goods shop Mumuya, and finally Showsdoll: a Ball jointed doll accessories and merchandise store.

VAS members can now enjoy 5% discount at KKnM and The Card Geeks upon presentation of their VAS membership card. Exisitng members who have yet to collect their cards can contact us. KKnM will also be continuing the existing partnership between our club and their store for our annual upcoming Art Fiesta event. Expect to see their high quality original anime merchandise on campus in March!.


Extravaganza ’09 – Collection Point

A Reminder to all! Extravaganza’s Closing date is this Sunday 8th of November!

Entries can be sent to the collection point which will be set up this Saturday and Sunday at the following venue.

New NTUVAS Blogs – Designer’s Club & “Art in Movement”

We’d like to welcome two new additions to the NTU Visual Arts Society online family.

First up, we have the blog site of our fellow NTUVAS subclub, the Designer’s Club. Visit their site for updates on their events, which includes stuff like the upcoming Photoshop Seminar Designer’s Voyage and workshops on computer aided design work.

1st-Year Anniversary


The NTU AnimeWorks Blog was first established exactly a year ago on the 30th of August 2008, immediately after our club’s 2008 AGM, making this our one year anniversary. To all our visitors, thank you very much for looking into our site and your interest in our club! We look forward to your continued patronage in the future!


NTU Visual Arts Society Annual General Meeting ’09


Date: 2/9/2009 (Wednesday)

Time: 7pm – 9:30pm

Venue: LT6

The Visual Arts Society would like to invite all its members, past and present, to attend the Visual Arts Society Annual General Meeting, to be held this Wednesday, 7pm at LT6.

For those who have signed up as members of the club, payment of yearly membership fees of $2 as well as collection of membership card will be available at the door of the event, officially inaugerating you as a full member of the club.  Membership registration is also available for those who have yet to sign up with us.

Aside from a recollection of our club’s past year activities, we will also be holding the elections for the Visual Arts Society Main Committee of 09/10 during the AGM. Do come down to choose who you would like to see lead the club in the upcoming year! Meet and mingle with them at the reception held after the event, which includes light refreshments.

Please take note that under the ruling of the current election committee, only current and former members will be allowed to place their votes during the election. As  mentioned earlier,  those who are not yet members may sign up and register at the event itself.

Look back on the past year. Decide the Club’s future! See the torch get passed on. We hope to see you there on Wednesday!
